"American Express (AXP) earnings report was decent but down from the second quarter. Their revenue growth is driven by higher discount revenue and card fees. The third quarter was an all-time high for spending per credit card," says Michael Miller. "American Express (AXP) had a higher volume and loan growth than expected. The finance company continues to gain proprietary credit card members," adds Dominick Gabriele.
