Fed Is Higher & Hold Vs Stop & Go

"The goal of the Federal Reserve is for the economy to slow. They are committed to the 2% inflation target and moving forward with a restrictive monetary policy. The Fed is pursuing a higher and hold policy path to avoid the stop and go mistakes of the past. They are also focused on the labor market and rising wages as key components to control inflation. We see additional downside in the stock market and it’s unclear whether the market has hit bottom. Some investors see it as a buying opportunity. Careful investors can find bargains in inflation-protected and defensive sectors," says Steve Wyett.
