"Job openings continue to come down directionally. The government-driven economy likely caused companies to over hire. Productivity this year has been dismal. I will be watching the labor market for a sense of when the Federal Reserve has to pivot," says Matt Miskin. "This strong jobs market creates a relief valve for households who are seeing their budgets stressed. As they enter the labor force, that could cause them to keep consumer spending up," John Worth adds.
