Market Recap: This Year's Winners Are Last Year's Losers

In 2023, so far the winners have ben last year's losers, says Liz Ann Sonders. She and Collin Martin give a recap of the market. Colin notes that market expectations for the "peak" Fed funds rate is back below 5% despite a chorus of Fed officials suggesting a rate of 5% or more is appropriate. They also go over some S&P 500 winners of today including Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD), Nucor (NUE), and Steris (STE), and losers Dish Network (DISH), Illumina (ILMN), and Mosaic (MOS).
