Outlook for OPEC+ Meeting Amid Omicron

On Wednesday Dec. 3, 2021 OPEC will meet to decide on oil output policy amid falling oil prices and the Omicron variant of COVID-19 weighing on financial markets. The price of crude oil futures (/CL) has fallen roughly $20 since reaching highs of $84.57 in November, which has lead some analysts to lower their year-end forecasts for the energy source. Industry experts Jay Hatfield and Jeffrey Small discuss their expectations for the meeting including their outlooks on the energy market.
