Retail industry experts Seth Basham and Jamie Katz join The Watch List panel discussion to talk about Bed Bath and Beyond (BBBY) ahead of the retailer’s 3Q earnings report that comes out Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 before markets open. Consensus calls for the company to post $0.00 EPS and $1.96B in total revenue for the quarter. Katz sees volatility for the stock in the near-term, but opportunity in the longer term based on the company’s being able to obtain cost gains and sustain them on a forward basis; while Basham doesn’t see much upside at all to the retailer, citing low store traffic and unbalanced promotions versus sales as the company’s main headwinds.
