Investors Need Equities for the Long Term

Markets rally after this morning's sell-off. Mark Hamrick, Senior Economic Analyst of Bankrate.com says the U.S. economy is not walled off from Russia's invasion of Ukraine. He points out that Russia is a producer of palladium (/PA) which is used in cars. He says investors need to be exposed to equities in the long-term because the outlook for fixed income is not particularly rosy. He says consumers are taking on more debt and the savings rates are going back to a more nominal position.
