U.S. crude oil (/CL) production is still about two million barrels below where it was pre-pandemic, says Dan Eberhart of Canary LLC. He thinks the delta variant of Covid is making people worry about economic growth. Oil trading volumes in recent days have been sluggish, he adds. He believes oil is exiting the year at $80. He thinks the balance sheets for the sector looks okay, but the weakest part is the service companies.
