Hertz Global Holdings (HTZ) is today’s Under 30-stock. In this segment Jenny Horne and Caroline Woods discuss the car rental company’s first quarter earnings. George Tsilis joins them to discuss possible reasons why despite the positive report, Hertz was trading down Thursday. George points to the cost of autos as being one of the main factors affecting demand and the consistent pricing of renting a car, which is not expected to reduce as demand increases. Hertz (HTZ) came in above EPS estimates by a penny with a 40.3% surge in revenue from the year prior to $1.81 billion, beating estimates by $50 million.
