"Consumer balance sheets have never been healthier and the labor market is incredibly tight. The recession is likely to be very shallow, but may last longer than many expect. The Fed will not support growth until inflation is confidently brought to heel," says Andy Kapyrin. He also states that the theme for the second half of the year will be a shift from responding to inflation to anticipating a slow down in growth.
