Stocks have reversed and are up today while commodities are down due to events in Ukraine with President Zelenskyy's willingness to accept Russia's demands more or less, says Octavio Marenzi, CEO of Opimas. Octavio says he thinks Jay Powell may raise interest rates by 0.25% next week but will be tepid about increasing rates. Octavio would not be surprised to see the Fed scrap its interest rate hikes. He said the Fed will sell off their bond portfolio very slowly, if at all. He says these moves will be good news for commodity prices. He describes the renewable energy sector as a place to invest and gives his stock picks of Brookfield, Clearway Energy and First Solar.
