"After the sell-off in the financial sector, there was a bounce back in regional and major bank stocks. Moody's cut their view on the U.S. banking system to negative. People are worried, but this situation could have been predicted in the treasury market. The problem with Silicon Valley Bank was they they put their deposits in government bonds and in mortgage-backed securities. This would have been fine in normal times, but not when the Federal Reserve is raising interest rates by 6%," says Caleb Silver.
