The US markets opened higher and the Dow Jones finished in the green. The markets moved higher overall with all 11 sectors of the S&P 500 finishing positive. However, crude oil (/CL), RBOB gas (/RB), natural gas (/NG), and gold (/GC) all ended down today. The TNX and Bitcoin (/BTC) had good starts but faded as the day went on and finished down. The VIX index dropped toward the end of the day closing at 30.6 level. Dupont (DD), Duke (DUK), and Lockheed Martin (LMT) showed relative strength, while Exxon (XOM), Comcast (CMSCA), and Meta (META) showed relative weakness. Apple (AAPL) was in the news today for unveiling new products pre-earnings, and announced they will be cutting iPhone 14 production. Also, Netflix's (NFLX) earnings beat estimates and it added 2.4M new subscribers. Finally, Industrial Production came in stronger and the Housing Market Index report came in weaker than expected.
