Markets immediately started falling this morning after jobless claims for December declined to the lowest level since September. The S&P 500, Dow Jones, Nasdaq-100, and Russell 2000 all ended lower. Energy was the only one of the eleven S&P 500 sectors to close higher. Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) closed down nearly 30% after warnings that it may go out of business. Tesla (TSLA) also closed lower after Mizuho lowered it price target, but kept its buy rating. Conagra Brands (CAG) closed higher on better-than-expected earnings. Keep your eye on the December jobs report which will be released tomorrow at 8:30am ET, as well as factory orders and ISM services data points later in the morning.
