Stock Market Today: COIN, WBD See Stock Jump, AVGO Falls

The Dow Jones closed higher, in addition to the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, and Russell 2000. Only one out of the eleven S&P 500 sectors closed down today, with the three biggest winning sectors were communication services, consumer discretionary, and materials. Coinbase (COIN) shares ended up after announcing another round of layoffs. Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD) shares also ended higher on their best 8-day streak in nearly two decades. Broadcom (AVGO) shares closed lower as traders scuffled to figure out the fate of the business after Apple (AAPL) amped up its push to create chips in-house.
