Stock Market Today: GS, NFLX Weakness & PHM Strength

The Dow Jones and Russell 2000 closed lower, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 ended barely changed in the green. Seven out of the eleven S&P 500 sectors closed higher with industrials and energy leading the way. Goldman Sachs (GS) shares closed down nearly 2% after posting mixed earnings. PulteGroup (PHM) shares closed up after housing starts and permits data came in strong this morning. Netflix (NFLX) shares fell in after-hours trading after earnings showed an increase in subscribers and revenue that rose almost 4% year-over-year.
