The Dow Jones closed down along with the S&P 500, the Nasdaq-100, and the Russell 2000. All 11 S&P 500 sectors closed lower today. The biggest losers were communication services, tech, and materials. Netflix (NFLX) shares sell after tech publication Digiday reported that its new ad-supported version is falling short of its promises made to advertisers. Western Digital (WDC) also closed lower after Goldman Sachs downgraded it from neutral to sell and cut its price target. Tesla (TSLA) shares ended higher even after reports emerged that Elon Musk sold another $3.6B shares of the EV maker.
