The Dow Jones, S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, and Russell 2000 all ended it the red, with ten of the eleven S&P 500 sectors closing lower. Tesla (TSLA) earnings showed that the company's multiple cost cuts to vehicles are starting to eat into margins which fell below the magical 20% threshold. AT&T (T) beat expectations in the latest quarter, but revenue missed as demand for its services started to normalize. Shares for Lam Research (LRCX) closed higher on earnings that beat expectations, although profit fell as sales declined.
