The Dow Jones closed higher along with the S&P 500, the Nasdaq-100, and the Russell 2000. Seven of the eleven S&P 500 sectors ended higher with consumer discretionary, industrials, and technology on top. Union Pacific (UNP) shares soared more than 10% today after announcing that its CEO, Lance Fritz, is stepping down. Tesla (TSLA) shares also closed about 5% higher after reports that production of its Model Y cars doubled at its berlin gigafactory. They Model Y is TSLA's best-selling EV and became the most sold car in Europe in November. Pfizer (PFE) is in talks to acquire Seagen (SGEN) for more than $30B.
