Tech Layoffs: Positive For The Investor?

Dell is expected to layoff 6,650 employees in latest tech company job cuts. "Meta Platforms (META), previously Facebook (FB), started the layoffs last quarter when they cut 11% of their workforce. There is investor pressure when one technology giant is doing it and seeing a positive outcome on their bottom line. The U.S. government has put in a lot of money into corporations' hands through Covid-19 and once that goes away, employee cuts start to occur," says Candy Valentino. Recent tech layoffs also happened in PayPal, Google, Microsoft, and Salesforce.
