U.S. Economy Drifting From Its Basic Capitalist Settings

"The U.S. economy has been steadily drifting from its basic capitalist settings as many current policies reflect perpetual short-termism. Americans' confidence in capitalism is falling and the economy needs to be fitted for modern challenges. We're not living in the 1980's anymore. The geopolitical challenges are different, the internal dynamics of the country are different, and we desperately need to prioritize economic growth, because without substantial growth over time, we will experience economic decline, and economic decline means national decline," says Samuel Gregg. Gregg's book, The Next American Economy will be released on October 18th.
