Stock futures prices were muted ahead of the jobs report. "We had some great numbers come out of the ISM, in addition to jobless claims being better than expected. The focus is on wage inflation. The Federal Reserve does not want to see the wage inflation loophole where goods cost more and employees ask for a raise. Jerome Powell did not take any questions recently. There is more focus on Europe's energy crisis," says Paul Wankmueller.
