Fed Chair Powell is careful with his language, and I don't think the FOMC has any interest in walking into a specific path of rate hikes due to the uncertainty, explains George Pearkes of Bespoke Investment Group. There is no reason to expect they will do anything aggressive, he adds. He points out that the Fed has a conditional forecast for the future, and if it doesn't come out that way, they will do something different.
