Continuing jobless claims came in at 1.806M versus an estimated 1.845M. Philly Fed Manufacturing index came in at 10.6 versus an estimated -7.0. Housing starts for December 2023 came in at -4.3% versus the prior revised 10.8% month-over-month. Building permits came in at 1.495M versus an estimated 1.480M.
