For Ross Stores (ROST) top line revenue is a problem. Jeff Pierce joins Oliver Renick to discuss the retailer. He goes over ROST’s earnings highlights, noting how the earnings were expected to be more positive than they turned out. He also discusses Foot Locker (FL) where the outlook and earnings sent a pretty good message. The company stated that it’s seeing strong first quarter results. Next, he talks about Dollar General (DG) which is well below its all-time high but still above where it was pre-Covid. Truist has adjusted its price target on DG to $178 from $215. He then goes over how Palo Alto Networks (PANW) sees 4Q revenue of $1.53B-$1.55B and has raised its earnings above expectations. Finally, he mentions Apple (AAPL) and how Wedbush says that iPhone demand is holding up better than feared, however the company is still concerned about the slowdown in China.
